As a Field Service Engineer covering customer sites across the South of England, you will work on everything from modern PLC-controlled automation and conveyor systems to legacy materials handling equipment that has been supporting customer operations for decades. This variety provides a unique opportunity to develop your skills across multiple technologies while no two days are ever the same.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance
- Respond to breakdowns
- Support installation and commissioning projects

Field Service Engineers Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support conveyors, sorters, AGV’s, automated handling systems and associated machinery.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults across automation systems.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs.
- Support equipment upgrades, installations and commissioning projects.
- Complete service documentation and maintenance records accurately.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and company quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and colleagues.

Our Field Service Engineer Will Have
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving faults on industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of:
- AC/DC controls
- Motors and drives
- Sensors and control systems
- PLC fault finding
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Experience within automation, materials handling, manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
- Able to pass DBS and UK Security Clearance checks.
