Position: Field Service Engineer
Location: Leicestershire (UK Wide Travel)
Salary: £35-45k base salary - Door to door pay (45hr week)
Benefits: Fully expensed company van, laptop, mobile phone, tools, and uniform provided
Field Service Engineer required to join our client, a specialist service provider in the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of pneumatic conveying and material separation systems across multiple industries in the UK.
Due to growing demand, they are expanding their field service team and are looking for skilled engineers who thrive in hands-on, problem-solving roles. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys travel, technical challenges, and working across a variety of complex systems.
Field Service Engineer Job Overview:
- Carry out servicing, planned maintenance, repairs, and breakdown work on pneumatic conveying systems, LEV systems, and separation/sorting systems
- Work on equipment including centrifugal fans (0.55-90kW), rotary separators, rotary valves, gearboxes, motors, belt drives, industrial dust collection units, ducting, and control panels
- Complete daily electronic reports
- Liaise closely with customers and the service team
- Travel nationwide, including occasional overnight stays and weekend work, minimised wherever possible

Field Service Engineer Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in mechanical maintenance
- Recognised certification in electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic disciplines (preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical systems with the ability to achieve a first-time fix
- Ability to work independently and under your own initiative
- Effective communication skills to liaise with service managers, engineers, and customers
- Full and valid UK driving licence
- Competent in technical English and computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, scheduling software)
- Physically fit and eligible to live and work in the UK
- Midlands-based applicants preferred, but all suitable candidates considered
