Field Service Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 DOE
OTE: £70,000 +

We are looking to expand Imperium Automation's dynamic team of Field Service Engineers with vacancies available to cover various geographic regions and a number of OEM solutions across our client base.

About the Role

This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment at customer sites, ensuring minimal downtime and excellent customer satisfaction. If you have a passion for problem-solving, a hands-on approach, and strong technical expertise, we want to talk to you!

This is a varied role and will see you providing shift cover, responding to breakdowns at multiple sites, and carrying out preventative maintenance on material handling and storage retrieval systems, conveyors, packaging machinery, robotics, etc. while assisting with installations and projects predominantly at, but not limited to, Distribution Centres.

You will need to be a strong communicator and able to integrate with resident teams at our clients' sites, ensuring that you are representing Imperium Automation in a professional manner at all times.

As a business, we offer 24/7/365 reactive maintenance support to our clients, and you will need to offer a degree of flexibility to ensure we meet their expectations.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 or Apprentice Trained Electrical / Multi Skilled
  • Good understanding of PLC's
  • Experience of working in Automated Distribution Centres
  • Sound awareness of risk assessment, method statements, permits, and working safely
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience with liaising with customers in a professional manner
  • IPAF trained and confident working at height, confined spaces
  • Confidently work on your own and with customer resident engineering team
