Your Mission
Hello and welcome to Sungrow! We are looking for a hands-on Field Service Engineer to support PV and energy storage systems across Scotland and Northern England, helping our customers keep clean-energy assets safe, reliable, and high-performing.
- Perform commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work for PV inverters and ESS equipment.
- Deliver field-based and remote technical support to customers and service partners across Scotland and Northern England.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, communication, and software-related faults, providing timely and practical solutions.
- Complete inspections, testing, firmware updates, and performance checks in line with company standards and applicable regulations.
- Prepare clear service reports, document corrective actions, and maintain accurate service records.
- Collaborate with internal technical, sales, and service teams to improve customer experience and equipment performance.

To thrive in this role, your background could look like this:
- You have technical training in electrical engineering, renewable energy, power electronics, or a comparable discipline.
- You bring practical experience servicing solar PV, battery storage, electrical, or industrial equipment.
- You are confident interpreting electrical diagrams, using diagnostic tools, and resolving faults independently.
- You are based in, or able to work remotely from, Northern England or Scotland, with regular travel across the northern UK region.
- You prioritise health, safety, quality, and professional customer communication in every task.
- You communicate in English at C1 level; additional European languages are a plus.
