Our client is a very successful manufacturer of labelling, printing and conveyor machinery and due to business expansion Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer.

Basic Up to £45Kpa + Bonus + OT + Commission OTE £46K - £50K

The Field Service Engineer will undertake machine installs, service and repair work throughout the UK. The role involve travel throughout the UK with occasional overnight stays.

The Role:

Reporting to the service manager, you will be responsible for the 'day to day' maintenance of a range of 'high value' industrial printing, labelling, conveyors and weighing machinery.

Your duties will include but is not limited to the following;

  • Attend machine installations, breakdowns, service & maintenance visits as requested
  • Identify faults and repair a range of printing, labelling machinery
  • Replace damaged components e.g. print heads, coders, rollers, belts, presses etc etc.
  • Electrical fault find and repair
  • Record details of work undertaken and get customer sign off
  • Report major defects and arrange for spare parts or machine collection as appropriate.
  • Travel to customer sites throughout the UK

Candidate:

You will be a multi-skilled engineer with good mechanical and electrical engineering skills.

Ideally you will have previous experience in maintenance and repair of FMCG machinery such as conveyors, printing, labelling, packaging and or weighing machinery. Ideally you will hold formal mechanical and or electrical engineering qualification e.g. 18th edition or equivalent, HNC or NVQ 3 in electrical engineering. Full product training will be given.

Hours of Work:

Mon - Fri 39 hours+ OT + Door to door pay
