Field Service Engineer (Healthcare Equipment)
Chichester
£32,000 Basic + Overtime + On-Call Payments + Company Van + Benefits
A growing provider of healthcare equipment servicing and maintenance solutions is looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join its expanding engineering team. Covering the South Coast region, this is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong mechanical and fault-finding skills to work on a range of healthcare and patient-handling equipment across care homes, hospitals, and healthcare facilities.
The role offers a mixture of servicing, maintenance, compliance testing, and repairs, with additional earning potential through overtime, on-call duties, and overnight stays.
The Role
- Service, maintain, and repair healthcare equipment including hoists, beds, baths, wheelchairs, and pressure mattresses
- Carry out LOLER inspections and testing on lifting and patient-handling equipment
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults at customer sites
- Complete planned preventative maintenance in line with service agreements
- Ensure all work complies with quality, health & safety, and environmental standards
- Deliver a professional and customer-focused service across the region

The Candidate
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Technician, or Maintenance Engineer
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills with basic electrical knowledge
- Experience working on healthcare, mobility, lifting, or rehabilitation equipment desirable
- Organised and methodical approach to maintenance activities
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to undergo Enhanced DBS checks
Package
- £32,000 basic salary
- Overtime, on-call, and overnight stay payments
