Lead Field Service Engineer

At UVeye, we're on a mission to redefine vehicle safety and reliability on a global scale. Founded in 2016, we pioneered the world's first fully automated suite of vehicle inspection systems. At the heart of this innovation lies our advanced AI-centric technology, representing the pinnacle of computer vision, machine learning, and generative AI within the automotive sector.

With over $380M in funding and strategic partnerships with industry giants such as Toyota, Amazon, General Motors, Volvo, and Hertz, our technology is utilized in manufacturing plants, dealerships, wholesale auctions, delivery fleets, seaports, and more. Our growing global team of 250+ employees is committed to creating a workplace that celebrates diversity, encourages teamwork, and strives for excellence.

Our UK Operations Team is growing, and we need a hands-on engineer to take our technology from installation plan to a live, working system on customer sites across the UK and Europe. As our Lead Field Service Engineer on installations, you'll own the full deployment: you'll direct contractors, solve problems in real time, and be the face of UVeye on site. If you like being trusted with the whole job, from first site survey to customer handover, this role is built for you.

A Day in the Life and How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You own the install, end to end - You take each new UVeye system from site readiness through installation, testing, commissioning, and customer handover. When it goes live, it's your work.
  • You lead the site - As Lead FSE, you direct third-party contractors and keep the work safe, accurate, on schedule, and to UVeye's standard.
  • You see problems before they happen - You review site layouts and drawings, and spot electrical, networking, civil works, or infrastructure issues before they can delay a deployment.
  • You make the technology work - You install, configure, test, and validate UVeye hardware and supporting systems until every unit is fully operational.
  • You fix what others escalate - You troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, electrical, and mechanical faults on the spot. You see each issue through to resolution, and you know when to bring in Engineering.
  • You keep our customers' sites running - You carry out preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance across our installed base, restoring systems quickly and with minimal disruption.
  • You set the safety standard - You identify hazards, enforce PPE and site rules, and stop or escalate unsafe work.
  • You're the customer's trusted contact - You communicate progress, manage expectations, and build relationships that last beyond the install.
  • You make UVeye better - You partner with Operations, Support, Engineering, and Customer Success. You document your work thoroughly and turn field insights into better processes and more reliable products.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
