Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Rate: Competitive in line with skills / experience
Type: Perm

My client, a global organization, currently have an urgent requirement for a skilled Field Service Engineer to join on a permanent basis. In this role you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of complex laboratory diagnostic systems at customer sites across Oxfordshire, Swindon, Cheltenham, Gloucester and the wider M4 corridor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission and validate laboratory instrumentation to agreed specifications and timescales.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance activities in line with service schedules and quality standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related faults.
  • Perform corrective maintenance and repair activities while maintaining full compliance with company and manufacturer procedures.
  • Support equipment relocations, upgrades and instrument qualification activities (IQ/OQ).
  • Produce accurate and timely service documentation using electronic reporting systems.
  • Maintain service stock, spare parts and company assets effectively.

About You

  • Electrical or Electronic Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic experience across complex electromechanical, electronic or automated systems.
  • Experience working with integrated IT and network-connected equipment.
  • Full UK driving licence.
