Field Service Engineer
£40,000 - £45,000 + Company Car
Covering: Manchester Area / Leeds - North of the UK
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Installing, commissioning and servicing new machinery at customer sites.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance, inspections and routine servicing.
- Diagnosing electrical, mechanical and control-system faults.
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Identifying faulty components and carrying out repairs or replacements.
- Supporting customers with breakdowns and technical issues, with a focus on restoring equipment to operation efficiently.
- Carrying out machine checks to identify potential problems before they develop into failures.
- Providing clear service reports and keeping customer and service records up to date using CRM and other reporting systems.
- Training customer operators and maintenance personnel in the safe and effective operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Working closely with customers to provide a professional and responsive service.
- Travelling regularly to customer sites throughout the Manchester Area/Leeds sort of region.

Experience & Qualifications
- A strong electrical engineering background.
- Good practical experience with electrical wiring and fault-finding.
- The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience diagnosing faults and carrying out electrical repairs.
- Good mechanical engineering and maintenance skills.

Experience with CNC machinery, automated production machinery or bar-feeding systems would be advantageous, although this is not essential.
Relevant technical qualifications such as an NVQ in Engineering, ONC, HNC or equivalent are desirable.
