At Blueleaf, we’re dedicated to supporting over 4,000 care homes across the UK by providing essential products, consumables, furniture, and technical solutions. As part of our growth, we’re expanding our engineering team to deliver expert service and installation support for our customers.

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Field Service Engineer to join our technical services team, covering the West Yorkshire region. This is a customer-facing role, responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of laundry pump equipment in commercial and industrial laundry rooms within the care sector.

The role requires a mix of practical hands-on skills, electrical competency, and the ability to work independently while providing excellent service to our customers. Full product training will be provided.

Job Details

  • Type: Permanent full-time
  • Hours: 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday
  • Typical Hours: 08:00am to 5:00pm, with flexibility for emergency repairs outside standard hours

  • Install, service, and maintain laundry dosing and pump systems across care home sites.
  • Diagnose and repair basic electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive support.
  • Ensure all work complies with health & safety standards and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring minimum disruption in care environments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all service and installation activities.
  • Work closely with the wider Blueleaf customer support teams.

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Electrically competent (basic knowledge of circuits, fault-finding, and safety) (desirable but not essential).
  • Familiar with pumps, dosing systems, or mechanical equipment (desirable but not essential).
  • Able to travel across the West Yorkshire region, with occasional overnight stays if required.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently.
  • A strong communicator with good customer service skills.
  • Willing to learn – full product training and support will be provided.
  • Essential: Full UK driving licence.
  • Preferred: Electrical/electromechanical background or qualification.
  • Desirable: Previous experience in a service/field engineer role.

  • Salary of £39,000 with a review after successful probation to £42,144.00
  • 33 days holiday inclusive of bank and public holidays
