Company: Laboratory Specialist Services Ltd.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience and qualifications

Location: Based in Central Scotland

Closing Date: N/A

COMPANY AND ROLE OVERVIEW

Laboratory Specialist Services Ltd are a well-established specialist provider of Laboratory Furniture, Fume Cupboards, Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) Systems and associated Extract Systems.

As demand for workplace safety, compliance and LEV testing grows, we are expanding our Service Department and are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as LEV Field Service Engineers. This position is primarily road-based, with daily travel to customer locations in a company van to carry out site visits, support customers and build strong working relationships.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced engineers and candidates with little or no LEV experience who are looking to build a long-term career within a fast-growing industry.

The role offers job security, career progression opportunities and a high degree of independence. Our engineers enjoy a varied workload, working across universities, laboratories, research organisations and industrial environments throughout Scotland.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
