Your Role

Your mission as the Field Service Engineer is to provide expert services for our technology solutions, delivering unmatched customer satisfaction and upholding the highest standards of safety. You are committed to ensuring the performance and longevity of your customers' technology through your expertise. Your work is important for supporting the operational success and technological advancement of industries relying on these technologies.

You will

  • Work as part of a regional service team, providing 24/7 emergency cover as part of a rota.
  • Complete scheduled Planned Preventive Maintenance in a specified time at hospital sites.

Your Day-to-Day

What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Liaise with the service office and customer to plan daily and weekly visit schedules.
  • Work unsupervised, using your own initiative to carry out laid down tasks.
  • Identify additional works such as manifold and plant installations, completing short form tenders (quotations).
  • Control stock and administration, timesheets, parts order forms, quotations, expenses, etc.
  • Commission new systems as required.
  • Be aware of, and apply, Health and Safety regulations during daily tasks.
  • Maintain test instruments to ensure they remain in good condition.

  • Time served apprentice in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with City & Guilds qualification, minimum parts 1 & 2.
  • A sound knowledge of compressors / vacuum pumps.
  • Be self-driven with a clear focus on high quality.
  • Competent and confident, reliable, and an empathetic communicator.
  • A full UK driving license.
