Field Service Engineer (m/f/d)

Are you ready to put your technical skills into action and support cutting-edge industrial automation solutions? At Fastems, you’ll take on a role where problem-solving meets innovation, and every day brings a new challenge. Based in the Midlands region, you’ll start your day from home and travel directly to customer sites across the UK. No two days will look the same – and you’ll be the trusted partner making sure our customers’ automation systems run at their best. 🚀

What you’ll do

  • Troubleshooting and repair in the areas of electronics, mechanics, I/O, drive technology, PLC (Beckhoff/ Siemens), software, and computers on our flexible manufacturing systems - be the expert who supports our customers.
  • Maintenance and servicing of flexible manufacturing systems and robot solutions (Fanuc) – keep our technologies running smoothly.
  • Modifications, enhancements, and commissioning of flexible manufacturing systems – play an active role in shaping the future of automation.
  • Support the installation of new automation equipment
  • Assess complex technical requirements and advise customers on solutions

Requirements

  • Background in service or maintenance
  • Electro-mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Ideally experienced with PLCs (Siemens/Beckhoff), CNC machines, robotics, or automated manufacturing systems
  • Comfortable with software and Windows-based systems
  • Determination, initiative, and a hands-on attitude
  • A full UK driving license
  • High flexibility to travel to customers across the UK & internationally (Mo-Fr)
