Are you ready to deliver hands-on technical support across the UK?
JBT Marel is looking for a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to join our Service team, covering the UK. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our customers by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced food processing equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer (mechanical & electrical) who enjoys working independently, solving problems on-site, and building strong customer relationships.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carry out installation, service, maintenance, and repair of equipment at customer sites across the UK with the occasional travel abroad
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical & electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Provide clear and detailed service reports following each visit
- Support customers with operational, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting guidance
- Identify spare parts requirements and potential upgrade opportunities
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction

About You
You are a hands-on engineer who enjoys working in the field and taking ownership of technical challenges. You are customer-focused, reliable, and able to work independently while staying connected with a wider team.
You’ll Bring
- A strong mechanical & electrical background
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset
- Good communication skills and the ability to build strong customer relationships
- Flexibility to work weekends (up to 50% of the time)
- A structured and organised approach to your work and reporting
- A commitment to delivering excellent service and customer satisfaction
Experience & Education
- Technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Experience in field service, maintenance, or working with industrial machinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is an advantage
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Full UK driving licence
