Are you ready to deliver hands-on technical support across the UK?

JBT Marel is looking for a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to join our Service team, covering the UK. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our customers by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced food processing equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer (mechanical & electrical) who enjoys working independently, solving problems on-site, and building strong customer relationships.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carry out installation, service, maintenance, and repair of equipment at customer sites across the UK with the occasional travel abroad
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical & electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Provide clear and detailed service reports following each visit
  • Support customers with operational, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting guidance
  • Identify spare parts requirements and potential upgrade opportunities
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction

About You

You are a hands-on engineer who enjoys working in the field and taking ownership of technical challenges. You are customer-focused, reliable, and able to work independently while staying connected with a wider team.

  • Flexibility to work weekends (up to 50% of the time)
  • A structured and organised approach to your work and reporting
  • A commitment to delivering excellent service and customer satisfaction

Experience & Education

  • Technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in field service, maintenance, or working with industrial machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is an advantage
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Full UK driving licence
