About This Role
Are you a Field Service Engineer, Forklift Engineer, or Material Handling Engineer looking for your next opportunity? Join Dawsongroup Material Handling as a Field Service Engineer, servicing and repairing forklift trucks across South East London and Essex. If you enjoy solving mechanical challenges, working independently, and delivering great customer service, this could be the role for you.
- Diagnose, service, and repair forklift trucks at customer and Dawsongroup locations.
- Work safely and efficiently, maintaining high standards with minimal supervision.
- Complete service reports detailing repairs, parts used, and time taken.
- Inspect equipment, report its condition, and maintain company tools, equipment, and your service van.
- Build strong customer relationships while following health and safety procedures and agreed authorization limits.
About You
You take pride in your work, communicate clearly, and enjoy getting to the root of a technical problem. We are looking for someone who can work independently, take care with every repair, and deliver a reliable service.

- Full, valid UK driving license.
- Essential mechanical knowledge of material handling equipment.
- Fully skilled engineer with the ability to work on diesel, LPG, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A careful, independent approach, with a commitment to safe working practices.
