Employment Type: Permanent

About the Role

TKMS ATLAS UK is looking for a proactive and adaptable Senior Field Service Engineer to join our growing Operations team.

This is an exciting opportunity to support advanced submarine and surface ship systems used by the Royal Navy and international customers. You'll play a key role in maintaining, fault-finding, repairing, and integrating complex electro-mechanical equipment, ensuring our products continue to perform in demanding operational environments.

Based at our Winfrith facility, you'll work both on-site and at customer locations across the UK and overseas, with opportunities to travel internationally and support equipment deployed around the world.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out maintenance, testing, and repairs on complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Supporting equipment integration, installation, system grooms, and commissioning activities.
  • Conducting equipment surveys and producing technical reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Identifying recurring equipment issues and contributing to continuous product improvement.
  • Supporting customer acceptance trials, factory testing, and sea trials when required.
  • Working with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and improve product performance.
  • Developing your product knowledge through planned secondments within other engineering departments.
  • Deploying at short notice when operational requirements demand.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
