🔧 Field Service Engineer (Wireless/Radio) – Chepstow
💰 £33,000-£38,000
Are you an experienced wireless or two-way radio engineer looking to grow within a fast-evolving sector? We're recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of mission-critical communications systems for a Field Service Engineer (Wireless/Radio) to join their team in Chepstow.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong IP/wireless/IoT background who's keen to develop further into DMR, TETRA and radio infrastructure technologies.
What you'll be doing:
- Installing, setting up and commissioning mesh networking and PMR/DMR radio systems
- Diagnosing and repairing wireless equipment; from handheld terminals to base stations and IP-connected peripherals
- Running full diagnostics using bench and portable test equipment
- Liaising directly with customers on maintenance issues
- Supporting internal training and providing technical support to the Workshop Manager
- Contributing to bid support, evaluation, and post-sales support

What we're looking for:
- ✅ 3+ years' experience in wireless networks or two-way radio communications
- ✅ Solid knowledge of IP-based technologies
- ✅ Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- ✅ Full UK driving licence
- ✅ Able to work away from home for short periods when required
- ✅ Self-motivated, deadline-driven, and confident producing H&S documentation

Nice to have:
- ⭐ Knowledge of DMR/TETRA two-way radio systems
- ⭐ HNC in Electrical/Electronics (or equivalent)
- ⭐ CSCS card
- ⭐ Working at Height / Critical Safety Worker certification
