Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Midlands
Industry: Machine Tool
Your Profile
- Minimum of 4 years' field service experience within the CNC machine tool or industrial equipment sector role.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Technical qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, such as BTEC, City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent and/or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing CNC machine tools.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Customer-focused, self-motivated and able to work independently.

You may be required to
- Support wider operational initiatives as required.
- Support internal projects and implementation activities.
- Travel to customer sites and offices in the UK and overseas as required.

Your core tasks will include
- Diagnose and repair faults on company products at customer sites.
- Install, commission, service and maintain products.
- Resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and software related issues.
- Complete inspections, adjustments, geometry checks and component replacements.
- Liaise with internal teams to source parts and resolve complex faults.
- Train customers in product operation, maintenance and safety.
- Work flexibly and travel throughout the UK and Ireland, including overnight stays, occasional out-of-hours work and overseas travel.
- Contribute to utilisation, service revenue and customer satisfaction KPIs.
- Support continuous improvement and wider operational initiatives.
- Undertake other duties within the scope of the role as required by the Service Manager.
