Field Service Engineer
24/7 Healthcare
Clydebank, Scotland, Covering Central Scotland
Full-time, Permanent
£29,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience
Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm, with overtime opportunities

Requirements: Applicants must be authorised to work in the UK and hold a full UK driving licence.
About the Company
At 24/7 Healthcare, we are an established and well-respected company specialising in the installation, servicing, and repair of mobility and healthcare equipment, including stairlifts, ceiling track hoists, ramps, and orthopaedic beds.
We are looking for a practical, reliable, and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to join our team, working primarily across Scotland's central belt.
About the Role
Working from a fully equipped company van, you'll visit customers in their homes to install, service, maintain, and repair essential mobility equipment, ensuring it operates safely and reliably.
Your Responsibilities:
- Servicing, repairing, and installing stairlifts, hoists, and other mobility equipment
- Diagnosing faults and achieving a high first-time fix rate
- Carrying out equipment assessments, refurbishments, and repairs
- Responding to service callouts and occasional emergency breakdowns
- Completing accurate job records using a PDA or Android device
- Managing van stock and ensuring tools and equipment are maintained
- Delivering excellent customer service while maintaining high health and safety standards

About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work, has strong problem-solving skills, and takes pride in delivering a quality service.
You Will Need:
- A full UK driving licence
- Good practical ability and confidence using hand tools
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic IT skills, including confidence using Android devices
- A reliable, organised, and self-motivated approach
- Flexibility to work overtime and occasional out-of-hours callouts
Previous experience in field service, mechanical or electrical maintenance, engineering, or installation would be advantageous but is not essential.
