Field Service Engineer – Recycling Machinery
Winner Recruitment are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer on behalf of one of our clients, a well-established manufacturer and supplier of specialist recycling and waste-processing machinery.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing engineering business that designs, installs, services, and supports recycling equipment for customers across the recycling, waste management, manufacturing, and industrial sectors throughout the UK.

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our client's growing engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of recycling and waste-processing machinery at customer sites across the UK.
This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer with strong mechanical and electrical skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, maintain and repair recycling machinery at customer sites
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults
- Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Complete onsite commissioning and machinery testing
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers
- Complete service reports and maintenance documentation
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and professionally
- Work independently and effectively manage your own workload
- Participate in occasional overtime and call-out support when required

Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience working on industrial or recycling machinery
- Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical engineering drawings
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Flexible approach to nationwide travel and overnight stays

Desirable
- PLC fault-finding experience
- 18th Edition qualification
- Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Experience within the recycling or waste management industry
- IPAF, PASMA or Forklift certifications
