Purpose of the Role
To provide field-based service and technical support for FANUC ROBOMACHINE customers across the UK and Ireland, primarily supporting ROBODRILL products. The role focuses on installation, preventative maintenance, servicing, and breakdown repair to maximize machine uptime and customer satisfaction.
Your Core Tasks Will Include
Field Service and Technical Support
- Diagnose and repair faults on ROBODRILL (vertical machining centres) products at customer sites.
- Install, commission, service, and maintain FANUC Robomachine products in line with FANUC guidelines.
- Resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and software-related issues.
- Complete inspections, adjustments, geometry checks, and component replacements.
- Liaise with internal teams to source parts and resolve complex faults.
- Support other ROBOMACHINE products as required.
- Train customers in FANUC product operation, maintenance, and safety.

Service Documentation
- Complete accurate service reports, including work completed, parts used, and outstanding actions.
- Maintain service histories and record time, travel, and parts usage within internal ERP systems.
Customer Excellence
- Build strong customer relationships through professional and responsive support.
- Identify post-sales opportunities across Service, Spare Parts, and Training.

Health & Safety
- Comply with FANUC and customer health, safety, and environmental requirements, including RAMS, permits, isolation, and site access procedures.
General
- Work flexibly and travel throughout the UK and Ireland, including overnight stays, occasional out-of-hours work, and overseas travel.
- Contribute to utilization, service revenue, and customer satisfaction KPIs.
- Maintain technical knowledge of FANUC controls and ROBOMACHINE products.
- Support continuous improvement and wider operational initiatives.
- Undertake other duties within the scope of the role as required by the Service Manager.
