Field Service Engineer - Scotland
Basic Salary: £40,000 | OTE: £55,000-£60,000
Location: M8 Corridor (Glasgow-Edinburgh)

The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of specialist industrial equipment at customer sites. The role is field-based, covering customers primarily across Scotland along the M8 corridor, with occasional travel into Northern England.

This is a varied and hands-on position where you'll diagnose faults, carry out planned preventative maintenance, commission new equipment and provide technical support, ensuring customers receive the highest level of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.
- Install and commission industrial equipment at customer sites.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently.
- Perform routine inspections to maximise equipment reliability and performance.
- Deliver excellent customer service while representing the business professionally.
- Complete service reports and associated documentation accurately.
About You
We're keen to speak with engineers who have:
- A recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer working with industrial machinery or automated equipment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience within the food, packaging or pharmaceutical industries would be highly advantageous.
- A willingness to travel across Scotland, with occasional travel into Northern England.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
