Field Service Engineer – Digital Inkjet Printing Systems
While not essential, preference will be given to candidates with experience in the label printing industry, digital printing, or related sectors.
(UK Southern Region)
Due to continued growth across our UK and Irish customer base, Durst Image Technology UK Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Field Service Engineer to support, install and maintain our industry-leading digital inkjet printing systems. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected team of factory-trained engineers working with one of the most comprehensive portfolios of digital UV inkjet printing solutions available. Durst is recognised worldwide for innovation, quality, and exceptional customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote, telephone and on-site technical support to customers throughout the UK and Ireland.
- Install, commission and validate Durst digital printing equipment and associated RIP software.
- Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing and repair activities.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, software and print quality issues.
- Deliver operator and maintenance training to customers.
- Accurately document service activities using the Durst Service Portal.
- Maintain effective communication with technical support and manufacturing teams in Austria and Italy.
- Produce comprehensive service reports and technical feedback following customer visits.
- Manage spare parts inventory, tools and company assets responsibly.
- Support machine upgrades, relocations and new product introductions where required.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

Experience & Requirements
- Proven experience in inkjet field service, including electro-mechanical fault finding and repair
- Label Inkjet Experience would be an advantage
- Strong understanding of:
- Print workflows
- Computer hardware repair
- Colour management principles
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly self-motivated, organised, and detail-oriented
- Ability to manage spare parts stock and company assets effectively

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to travel, including training visits to our factories in Italy and Austria
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
