About DTC
Domo Tactical Communications operates in fast-growing markets offering innovative and robust wireless security products, leading-edge IP-centric network devices, and C4I application software solutions, along with high-performance wireless broadcast systems for all industries.
Our passion for innovation keeps us one step ahead in the rapidly changing and increasingly challenging environments within which we perform, whether on the battlefield, in the streets of our cities, or at the world's largest sporting events.
High-performance IP Video, communications, and broadcast systems enable our customers to securely monitor, control, communicate, and share information with confidence in complex environments and in the most demanding situations.
The Role
We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to help customers deploy, use, and get the best from our communication systems.
This is a varied, customer-facing role combining product demonstrations and technical support. You’ll configure equipment, help integrate wireless systems with wider IP networks, investigate technical issues, and work with our engineering teams to resolve them. You’ll also support sales colleagues during customer trials and demonstrations, including those involving defense users.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ll be based at our Whiteley site when you’re not traveling. Travel typically accounts for up to two weeks per month, mainly across the UK and Europe, with occasional trips further afield. We’ll provide training on our products and support you in developing your RF knowledge.
What you’ll do
- Set up and deliver product demonstrations, customer trials, and training.
- Configure and support IP, wireless, and video communication systems.
- Help customers integrate our equipment with their wider networks and platforms.
- Diagnose technical problems remotely and on site, reproducing issues where needed to help our engineering teams find the cause.
- Prepare and maintain demonstration equipment at our Whiteley site.
- Work with Sales, Engineering, and Product teams to shape solutions around customer needs.
- Record support activity and produce clear technical documentation.
What we’re looking for
You’ll need practical experience configuring or troubleshooting IP networked systems, including a sound understanding of networking fundamentals such as VLANs, routing, and multicast. You should enjoy hands-on problem-solving and be comfortable explaining technical issues to customers with different levels of expertise.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
Experience with tactical or military communications would be especially relevant, including service in the Royal Signals or another technical armed forces role. We’re equally interested in people who have worked with wireless networks, telecommunications, secure communications, or temporary field deployments in commercial settings.
Experience with RF systems, radio equipment, video streaming, or tools such as Wireshark would be useful, but you do not need to arrive as an RF specialist.
You’ll need to be willing to travel regularly, hold a full driving license, and be eligible to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
Why join us?
You’ll work directly with customers using DTC technology in real-world environments, while being part of a team that can help you build your knowledge of wireless and RF communications. The role offers a mix of hands-on technical work, customer interaction, and international travel.
Interested? We’d welcome an application, whether your experience comes from the armed forces or a relevant commercial role.
