About This Role

Are you a Field Service Engineer, Forklift Engineer or Fork Truck Lift Fitter looking for your next challenge? As a Field Service Engineer with Dawsongroup Material Handling, you will service, diagnose and repair forklift trucks across designated customer locations, giving you the opportunity to work independently while building strong customer relationships.

  • Diagnose, repair and service forklift trucks safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Work across diesel, LPG and electronic systems, using your technical knowledge to solve problems.
  • Complete accurate service and maintenance reports, including parts used and time taken.
  • Examine equipment and clearly report its condition to help keep customers moving.
  • Represent Dawsongroup professionally while maintaining strong relationships with designated customers.

About You

We are looking for someone with strong mechanical knowledge of material handling equipment who takes pride in doing a great job. You will need to be comfortable working independently, communicating with customers and putting safety first, but if you do not meet every point perfectly, we would still encourage you to apply.

  • Fully skilled Fork Truck Lift Fitter with experience servicing and repairing forklift trucks.
  • Mechanical knowledge of material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work confidently across diesel, LPG and electronic systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full, valid UK driving licence and the ability to work independently with care and attention to detail.
