About the Role

We’re looking to grow our BioCH4nge field service team and this is a great opportunity for an engineer who wants to build a career within the biomethane sector.

The role will focus heavily on BioCH4nge and biomethane upgrading technology, supporting plants across the UK and internationally. You will be working directly with the equipment and process that takes biogas and upgrades it into grid quality biomethane, giving you exposure to both the mechanical and process side of renewable gas production.

Responsibilities

This is not just a maintenance role. You will be involved in:

  • Fault finding
  • Planned and reactive maintenance
  • Commissioning support
  • Plant optimisation
  • Performance improvement
  • Working with both customers and our wider technical teams to keep biomethane plants operating reliably and efficiently

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Travel

Travel will be a major part of the role, with extensive work across the UK as well as international travel for training, technical support, and site activities.

Technical Development

The biggest opportunity is the technical development available.

You will receive specialist training on BioCH4nge systems and biomethane upgrading technology, developing knowledge across areas such as gas treatment, compressors, membranes, analysers, instrumentation, controls, and the wider upgrading process.

There will also be opportunities to cross-train on CHP technology, giving you a broader understanding of the complete renewable energy process and opening up further progression opportunities within the business.

Qualifications

Previous biomethane experience would be beneficial, but it is not essential. We are more interested in finding someone with a strong engineering background, good fault finding ability, a practical mindset, and the willingness to learn.
