Field Service Representative
Armored Vehicle Maintenance & Government Test Support Nationwide $38.00 - $52.00/Hourly
Ability to Obtain a Secret Clearance
We are hiring a Senior Field Service Representative – Armored Vehicle Maintenance & U.S. Government Test Support to support U.S. Government testing of advanced military ground vehicle platforms at multiple defense test locations across the United States. This role requires extensive experience with tracked and wheeled combat vehicle maintenance, Army maintenance procedures, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, prototype vehicle support, field service operations, and DoD ground vehicle testing while ensuring mission readiness, safety, and successful test execution.
Responsibilities:
- Lead field rework activities and supervise Field Service Representative (FSR) teams supporting military vehicle testing.
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, modifications, and upgrades on wheeled and tracked military vehicle platforms.
- Support U.S. Government test operations by maintaining vehicle readiness and maximizing platform availability throughout scheduled testing.
- Develop and execute maintenance work packages supporting vehicle testing and sustainment activities.
- Manage on-site support equipment, including spare parts, consumables, storage, and maintenance support packages.
- Coordinate maintenance status, repair progress, and upgrade activities with internal teams and U.S. Government personnel.
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, electrical schematics, and maintenance documentation to perform repairs and modifications.
- Support development of standardized field maintenance procedures and best practices across the Rheinmetall Field Service organization.
- Ensure compliance with all company, customer, environmental, and U.S. Government safety requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of field service and vehicle test operations.

Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if required for the position.
- Applicable combination of military or commercial experience supporting armored vehicle maintenance.
- Minimum 5+ years of Field Service Representative (FSR) or Field Engineer Representative (FER) experience supporting U.S. Government test sites.
- Minimum 4+ years of military armored vehicle operations or maintenance experience on tracked or wheeled combat vehicles; Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) experience preferred.
- Experience supporting prototype vehicle production and transition into serial production.
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. Army maintenance procedures, military vehicle operations, and DoD ground combat vehicle requirements.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and vehicle systems on military ground platforms.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation.
- Proficiency using standard mechanical tools and shop equipment safely and effectively.
- Working knowledge of maintenance shop standards, processes, and field repair procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to provide accurate maintenance status reporting and communicate technical solutions to internal and customer stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently at remote customer locations with minimal supervision.
- Must successfully complete background screening, employment verification, reference checks, and controlled substance testing.
- Ability to travel extensively to U.S. Government and customer test locations as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- German language proficiency.
- Mechanical, electrical, or HVAC/Air Conditioning certifications.
- Prior U.S. military service.
- Additional military vehicle maintenance training or technical certifications.
