GE Vernova is looking for an exceptional Field Service Supervisor to join our Grid Solutions team based in the United Kingdom.

Role Overview
The Field Service Supervisor will act as a primary technical expert at customer sites, overseeing the safe installation, maintenance, and commissioning of high-voltage air-insulated switchgear (AIS). You will be responsible for ensuring our equipment operates safely and reliably, providing expert guidance to customers and serving as the essential link between our technical capabilities and field operations.
Your Impact
- Leading the installation, testing, and commissioning of switchgear equipment to ensure seamless, safe energization.
- Diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical faults, providing rapid technical solutions to keep critical infrastructure running.
- Performing rigorous maintenance and inspections to identify potential failures before they occur, ensuring long-term equipment reliability.
- Collaborating with customers, contractors, and site managers to deliver professional, clear technical recommendations and service reports.
- Fostering a culture of safety by enforcing strict electrical safety protocols, risk assessments, and site-specific procedures during every assignment.
- Developing site operations by mentoring team members and identifying service opportunities that add value for our customers.

Special Role Requirements
- Able to travel extensively to and from projects and various field assignments.
- Willing to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments.
- Ability to spend considerable time away from home for training and field assignments.
What Success Looks Like In This Role
You should be a safety-conscious, hands-on engineering professional with a strong technical background and a commitment to operational excellence.
- The ability to work independently on-site, making sound technical decisions while managing project timelines and customer expectations.
- The capability to interpret complex electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and single-line diagrams to troubleshoot and repair high-voltage systems.
- An understanding of high-voltage electrical safety and isolation procedures, with a focus on maintaining a zero-harm environment.
- An expertise in medium- or high-voltage switchgear, including circuit breakers and associated control systems.
- A keen interest in continuous learning and maintaining technical competencies in an evolving energy landscape.
A formal qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience is nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
Where And How You'll Work
This is a permanent, site-based position. You will travel to various customer sites across the country, placing you directly where our energy solutions make the most impact.
