Location: Alton, Hampshire with UK-wide travel

Salary: Competitive, dependant on experience

Benefits: Fully expensed vehicle, workplace pension scheme, annual discretionary bonus, manufacturer training

Holiday: 20 days, increasing by one day per annum to 25 days plus bank holidays

Whether we're installing the latest UV flatbed printer, supporting a busy sign maker or helping a customer maximise production, our technical team plays a vital role in delivering the exceptional service we're known for.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Field Service Technical Consultant to join our expanding technical team.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll install, provide training, and maintain some of the industry's leading large-format printers while building long-term relationships with customers across the UK.

  • Installing, commissioning and configuring new, demonstration and refurbished Mimaki and Roland DG printers
  • Delivering customer training on printer operation, RIP software and applications
  • Providing telephone and remote technical support
  • Supporting customers with print applications and workflow optimisation
  • Recording installation and service activity with manufacturers and internal systems
  • Supporting equipment demonstrations, customer events and industry exhibitions when required
  • Working closely with our sales and technical teams to ensure customers receive the highest level of service

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

Desirable requirements:

  • At least two years' experience within the large format print industry
  • Experience installing, servicing or operating Roland DG, Mimaki or similar large format printers
  • Computer literate, with confidence using Microsoft Office, email and web-based systems to complete installation reports and administrative tasks
  • Good knowledge of RIP software and print workflows
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team, independently and manage your own workload
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to travel throughout the UK, including overnight stays

Essential requirements:

  • A full UK driving licence
  • The legal right to work in the UK (Please note printMAX is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role)
