In a nutshell

As a Field Service Technician II, you will maintain, repair and commission Bystronic press brakes at customer sites. You will diagnose complex faults, perform upgrades and support customers in keeping their production running safely and efficiently.


What you will be doing

Technical area

  • Maintain, repair, install and commission Bystronic press brakes.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and software-related faults.
  • Perform machine modifications, updates and retrofits.
  • Configure and adjust CNC/PLC systems and machine parameters.
  • Carry out software updates and verify correct machine operation.
  • Support complex troubleshooting cases and mentor less experienced technicians.

  • Train customers on machine operation, safety and maintenance.
  • Provide clear technical advice and take ownership of complex service or quality issues.

Internal collaboration and learning

  • Complete service reports and update technical documentation in CRM.
  • Order required spare parts and share technical knowledge with colleagues.

Your education & experience

  • Technical qualification in mechanical, electrical, mechatronic or a related engineering field.
  • At least 3 years of industrial machinery maintenance, installation or field service experience.
  • Experience with press brakes, CNC machinery or similar industrial equipment is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read electrical, hydraulic and mechanical documentation.

What you need to succeed

  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills.
  • Customer-focused and able to work independently.
  • Calm and reliable when dealing with breakdowns and production pressure.
  • Valid driving licence and availability to travel within the assigned region for up to 90% of working time.
