Field Service Technician | Walsall, West Midlands (UK & Ireland travel) | £32,000–£36,000

Join Parsons, a specialist designer, manufacturer, installer, and maintainer of fume & odour scrubbing equipment, working across a wide range of industries to deliver air pollution control solutions that genuinely matter to our customers' operations.

We're looking for a Field Service Technician to keep our customers' gas scrubbing equipment running safely, reliably, and to the high standards Parsons is known for. This is very much an out-in-the-field role — you'll be the professional face of Parsons on customer sites across the UK and Ireland, planning and delivering preventative maintenance, and being the first response when something needs urgent attention. You'll also get involved in supporting new installations and, from time to time, working alongside our production team back at the factory.

What you'll be doing

  • 🗓️ Planning and coordinating the service schedule, liaising directly with customer sites, and arranging materials ahead of each visit
  • 🔧 Carrying out planned preventative maintenance to Parsons standards, completing accurate documentation, and recommending repairs or upgrades
  • 🚨 Responding to emergency breakdowns, diagnosing faults on the spot, and aiming for a first-time fix, escalating for permanent corrective action where needed
  • 📈 Spotting recurring fault patterns and feeding improvement opportunities back into the business
  • 🏗️ Supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment, and lending a hand with manufacture and fabrication when required

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
