What Do We Expect From You?
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the proactive delivery of service, maintenance, fault repair, and occasional installation works on customer equipment.
Your Role Will Include
- Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance, repairs and installations on entrance systems
- Attending customer sites promptly, managing your workload to meet service schedules and call-out requirements
- Communicating clearly with customers, including providing ETAs and end-of-day updates
- Ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and in compliance with RAMS and site-specific requirements
- Accurately completing job sheets, reports, timesheets and documentation using company systems
- Maintaining company tools, PPE and vehicle to a high professional standard
- Building positive working relationships with customers and internal colleagues
- Sharing technical knowledge and supporting colleagues when required

This role requires someone who is organised, professional and comfortable working alone in live customer environments.
The successful candidate will need to reside in London, or the close surrounding areas and must hold a full, clean driving licence.
This role is a 40 hour per week contract, working 5 out of 7 days on a rota basis, and will involve mandatory weekend working and regular overtime.
What Skills and Experience Are Necessary to Perform This Role?
- Working knowledge of health and safety
- Experience as an auto door engineer or working in a similar role would be advantageous but not essential
- Technically competent
- Background in engineering will be an advantage
- CSCS card holder desirable but not essential
- EN16005 accredited desirable but not essential
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Highly organised with excellent time management
- Excellent communicator able to liaise with and build customer rapport
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programmes
- Electro / mechanical qualification desirable but not essential
- GCSE Maths and English, Grade C or higher/equivalent
