About the Role

Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer with a passion for solving complex technical challenges and delivering outstanding customer service? Rapiscan Systems is seeking a talented engineer to support our RTT, CT, Checkpoint, BPI and Trace product portfolio across customer sites throughout the UK.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Install, configure and commission advanced screening and detection systems.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and system upgrades.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, electronic, software and networking faults.
  • Provide professional technical support to customers and stakeholders.
  • Complete service documentation and maintenance records accurately.
  • Participate in an on-call and standby rota.
  • Deliver operator and technical training when required.
  • Conduct site surveys and provide technical recommendations.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous customer-facing engineering, service or maintenance experience.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with electronic and computer-based systems.
  • Knowledge of PC hardware, software configuration and basic networking.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Engineering qualification such as BTEC, HNC, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent experience.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
