Our innovative solutions, such as automation systems for medication dispensing and care home electronic medication record systems (eMAR), enhance accuracy, safety, and efficiency. We serve healthcare sectors across the UK and Ireland, collaborating with community pharmacies and care homes to improve patient outcomes. We also provide and support the Pharmaself prescription locker in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Role Profile:
Due to continued business expansion we are seeking a Service Engineer for Scotland to support our customers.
As a service engineer, you will play a key role in providing a high level of customer service support. This role involves travel across Scotland, as you will complete installations, services and call-out activities across different sites. Travel to England will be required from time to time.
The successful Service Engineer will gain exposure to a wide range of projects. This role offers a competitive salary, incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package.
You will receive training and support on our product range to ensure a first-class customer service is delivered and maintained. Refresher training will also be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, preventative service and maintenance, and fault-finding to a number of customer sites in an efficient and effective manner and within agreed parameters
- Support the installation and training of the product to our customers
- Ensure daily work contributes to the departmental goal of high-quality output
- Complete and maintain accurate and high-quality records and work reports on work carried out and planned
- Develop and maintain customer relations to a high level
- Identify potential sales leads
- Provide remote support
- Implement go-live testing and handover process to customers
- Conduct site visits and oversee 3rd party contractors in preparation for installation
- Organising the relevant maintenance and service contracts to ensure they are issued and reviewed as appropriate
- Plan and prepare for successful service activities (including reviewing previous work reports, parts anticipated, customer/site requirements, and logistics)
- Submit accurate and timely records of travel time, working time, expenses, parts and materials used
- Manage the identification, ordering, and control of parts/materials/consumables for jobs in progress in an efficient manner ensure good stock management systems and processes are in place
- Maintain company and personal tools in a safe and efficient condition, adhering to the company’s quality policies and safety procedures.
- Build strong relationships and liaise with the team to ensure regular information exchange and that you can rely on ad-hoc support as needed
The Person
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience and track record in a similar role, doing work of a similar kind
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Word & Excel
- Practical hands-on Engineering knowledge and skill
- Strong fault-finding, problem solving and diagnostic skills
- Demonstrable experience of effectively diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
- Good understanding of Mechanical, Electric and Electronic principles and ability to use in practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on your own initiative possessing strong organisational and time management skills
- Right to work in the UK
- A full clean driving license
- Flexibility to travel between sites

Desirable Criteria:
- Preferably possesses a BTEC/HNC/HND in an Engineering related field with hands-on knowledge of engineering
- Previous experience as a Vending Machine Engineer/ Pharmacy Robot Engineer is advantageous, but not essential.
