Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Field Services Engineer role based in Bracknell. The Field Services Engineer will install, configure, and maintain perimeter security systems at customer locations, ensuring all equipment operates safely and effectively.

  • Performing site assessments
  • Completing scheduled and reactive maintenance
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
  • Documenting work performed

The role also involves:

  • Coordinating with the office team to plan visits
  • Maintaining accurate service records
  • Providing clear guidance to customers on system use and basic troubleshooting
  • Supporting continuous improvement by reporting recurring issues and suggesting enhancements to service processes and products

Qualifications

  • Strong field service and on-site support skills, with experience working at customer premises.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and technical support for electromechanical or security systems.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on installed equipment.
  • Solid customer service skills, including clear communication and a professional, respectful approach.
  • Relevant technical background, such as an apprenticeship or qualification in electrical, electronics, or mechanical engineering.
  • Comfort working outdoors and at different types of sites, following all safety procedures and regulations.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel to customer locations in and around Bracknell.
  • Experience with perimeter security, access control, CCTV, or related systems is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
