Role Description
The Field Services Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in CW area. The engineer will carry out diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on materials handling equipment at customer locations, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. Daily responsibilities include:

- Performing scheduled preventive maintenance
- Responding to breakdowns
- Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Providing technical guidance to customers
- Completing service reports and documentation accurately
- Communicating clearly with service coordinators and customers
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures

The Field Services Engineer will represent Briggs Equipment on-site, supporting strong customer relationships through professional conduct and reliable service delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong field service capabilities, including on-site equipment support and mobile engineering experience.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and technical support skills for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and routine inspections to minimize downtime.
- Proven customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and build positive working relationships.
- Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in engineering (e.g., mechanical, electrical, plant, or materials handling).
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and service manuals.
- Comfort working independently, managing time effectively, and prioritizing multiple service calls.
- Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the Wirral and surrounding areas.
- Commitment to safe working practices and familiarity with health and safety regulations.
- Previous experience with forklifts, materials handling equipment, or similar industrial machinery is advantageous.
