The Role

We are looking for an additional field service engineer to join our busy service team, providing field service, technical support, software support and remote support to our customers. This will involve extensive travel within the UK and Southern Ireland, but occasional European and international travel may also be required.
The position would suit someone looking to move from Semiconductor, Medical or Laboratory work to a Field Service role, or someone with proven Field Service experience. This is a great opportunity to work with a customer-focused company supporting several niche product lines.
Responsibilities
- Preventative maintenance, upgrades, fault diagnosis and repairs of nuclear monitoring systems.
- Remote support for technical queries or fixing of issues.
- Scheduling and prioritising of service jobs.
- Preparation and sending of site reports to customers.
- Coordinate and prioritise tasks as required by the Service Director and Service Team Leader.
- Workshop Support / Electrical Safety Testing.
- Work within company ISO procedures.
- Assist the Sales as required for Demonstrations, Pre and Post Sales support.

Requirements
Essential
- HNC or equivalent in Electrical and electronic engineering or above
- Must hold a Full driving licence
- Willingness to travel with little notice
- Highly motivated and have strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Able to work independently to a high standard
- Computer experience and proficiency
Desirable
- Background in Field support
- Advanced Driver training
- Background in Clinical systems such as Nuclear Medicine, CT, PET
