Field Service Engineer (UK)

Overview:

A global leader in cutting-edge life science instruments.

We're seeking a customer-focused Field Service Engineer to support advanced cutting-edge Life Science Instrumentation. The role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of systems across the UK.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will be the technical interface between our customers and our internal development team.
  • You will ensure that our innovative life science systems are used optimally and continuously improved.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and system checks.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues on-site.
  • Install and upgrade equipment, and train customers on usage.
  • Deliver timely service to minimize downtime.
  • Complete service reports and share customer feedback internally.

Requirements:

  • You enjoy solving technical challenges and working closely with customers and colleagues.
  • A degree in Engineering or a comparable qualification.
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field or in-house service required.
  • Fluent English is required. Additional European languages are an advantage.
  • Experience in a life sciences work environment.
  • Willingness to travel more than 60% of the time.
  • Must have a UK driving licence and access to a car.
  • Strong communication skills and enjoyment of interacting with customers.
  • Team spirit, initiative, and a solution-oriented approach to work.
