Role Description
This is a full-time Field Services Engineer with opportunities throughout the UK (Oxford, Cambridge, Kings Lynn), offered as a hybrid role with a mix of on-site work at customer locations and some work from home. The Field Services Engineer will install, commission, and maintain MADiC UK forecourt and retail systems, including hardware, software, and associated networking equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently. The role involves travelling to customer sites, liaising with store and forecourt teams, documenting work performed, and escalating complex issues when required. The Field Services Engineer will collaborate closely with technical support, project, and operations teams to deliver high-quality service and uphold MADiC UK’s standards for customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out reactive maintenance on fuel dispensers and other associated equipment
- Service and installation of EPOS & peripherals, Fuel Dispensers and Outdoor Payment systems
- W&M Verification of Tatsuno dispensers (training provided)
- Maintain stock/tool inventory accurately
- Completion of intervention paperwork
- One week in four on-call rota
Qualifications
- Strong field service skills, including on-site installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and technical support, with the ability to diagnose, resolve, and document complex technical issues.
- Experience in preventive maintenance, including routine inspections, testing, and performance optimization of equipment.
- Excellent customer service abilities, with clear communication, professionalism, and a focus on building long-term client relationships.
- Relevant technical background (e.g., electrical, electronics, IT, or engineering) and experience in retail, fuel, or forecourt environments is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work safely on active forecourt and construction sites, following health and safety standards and company procedures.
- Valid UK driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly to customer locations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.
