Danfoss is seeking an experienced Field Systems Engineer, based at one of its locations in Mestre, Italy; Trévoux, France; or London, United Kingdom. The successful candidate will provide world-class technical and application support for Danfoss Turbocor® compressors within the Cooling division. Working closely with Account Managers and Regional Sales Managers, the Field Systems Engineer will deliver high-quality technical support to OEM customers across Europe.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide technical and application support to OEM customers and sales teams across Europe, supporting both existing business and new opportunities.
  • Act as the main technical point of contact for customers on product application, troubleshooting, and quality-related topics.
  • Analyze compressor and refrigeration system issues, conduct failure analysis, and drive structured problem-solving and corrective actions.
  • Represent the voice of the customer internally, sharing field insights to improve existing products and support new product development and launches.
  • Plan and conduct customer visits, technical training, product demonstrations, and other activities supporting customer satisfaction and business growth.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Quality, and other internal teams to address technical challenges and successfully execute customer and business initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Thermodynamics or a related field is an advantage.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience within the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration industry, with proven expertise in the design and application of refrigeration systems using Danfoss Turbocor® centrifugal compressors.
  • Strong hands-on and theoretical knowledge of chillers, refrigeration systems, and compressor applications.
  • Strong technical analysis, troubleshooting, and structured problem-solving skills, combined with a customer-focused and business-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; fluent English required, while Italian, German, or French is an advantage.
  • Availability to travel regularly across Europe to visit OEM customers, typically around 25% of working time, with potentially higher travel during peak periods.
