Job Description

Shifts Available:

  • Dayshift – Monday to Friday 0600-1500hrs
  • Backshift – Sunday 1200-2100hrs Monday to Thursday 1500-0000hrs

Pay Rate:

  • £13 per hour (Training Rate), once trained: £13.54 per hour + £50 weekly Backshift allowance

Hours: 40 hours per week

In this role, you'll be responsible for accurately filleting and trimming poultry products to the required specification. This is a hands-on role where knife skills, accuracy, quality, and pace are important. If you have previous experience in poultry, meat, fish, or another food processing environment involving knife work, we would be particularly interested in speaking to you.

Full training is provided, so no previous experience is required.

What you will be doing:

  • Filleting and trimming poultry using knives and other approved equipment.
  • Producing cuts to the required customer and product specification.
  • Working accurately while maintaining production standards and targets.
  • Checking product quality and identifying any issues.
  • Minimising waste and maximising product yield.
  • Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
  • Keeping your work area clean and organised.
  • Working as part of a production team to achieve daily targets.

Qualifications

We’re looking for people with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to high standards of safety and quality.

Experience in production or factory work is helpful but not essential — full training will be provided, including Level 1 Health & Safety and Level 2 Food Safety certification.
