Job Description: Music Composer for Short Film

This opportunity is for a talented music composer to craft an original soundtrack for a short film police interrogation scene. The project is ideal for someone passionate about cinematic storytelling and atmospheric scoring, with a keen sense for enhancing narrative tension through music. The role is based on-site in Manchester, offering a chance to collaborate closely with the director and contribute creatively to a personal film project.

Deliverables

  • Compose and produce a complete original soundtrack tailored to a police interrogation scene.
  • Collaborate with the director to understand the film’s tone, pacing, and emotional requirements.
  • Deliver high-quality audio files in industry-standard formats suitable for post-production.
  • Participate in feedback sessions and make revisions as needed to align with the director’s vision.
  • Ensure all music is original and properly licensed for use in the film.

Requirements

  • Proven experience composing for film, television, or similar visual media.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to create mood-driven, cinematic scores.
  • Proficiency with digital audio workstations and music production software.
  • Ability to work on-site in Manchester; willingness to travel if not local.
  • Excellent communication skills and openness to creative collaboration.
  • Strong time management and ability to meet project deadlines.
