Role Description

The Film Producer will manage projects from early concept through final delivery, coordinating creative and logistical elements to ensure successful productions. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing pre-production planning, budgeting, scheduling, and assembling production teams
  • Maintaining clear communication with writers, directors, and other stakeholders
  • Supervising video and film production activities
  • Monitoring workflow and guiding video post-production, including editing, sound, and finishing, to meet quality and deadline requirements
  • Reviewing pitches and scripts from underrepresented creators, providing feedback, and helping shape projects aligned with the company’s mission

This is a contract, remote role, requiring regular virtual meetings, effective online collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple projects across different time zones.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Film Production and Video Production, with experience overseeing projects from development through delivery
  • Proficiency in Pre-production activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning
  • Experience with Video Post-Production processes such as editing, sound, and finishing
  • Background in producing Documentaries or similar non-fiction formats is highly beneficial
  • Proven ability to collaborate with diverse creative teams and support underrepresented artists
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Comfort with digital collaboration tools and remote production workflows
  • Relevant experience as a Film Producer or in a comparable production role; formal education in Film, Media, or a related field is a plus but not required
