Company Description

THE CAMBRIDGE FILM COMPANY is developing an exciting slate of prestige projects spanning feature films, feature documentaries, and high-quality TV drama. The company focuses on distinctive, story-led content with strong creative and commercial potential. Projects range from scripted narrative work to factual, documentary-driven storytelling. Team members collaborate with writers, directors, and partners across the UK and internationally to bring ambitious ideas to screen.

You need to be comfortable in going out to your contacts and market to raise the finance along with our efforts to complement.

The budget of the first film on this lower budget slate is a psychological thriller set in Scotland scheduled for Feb 2027 budget is £1.79 Million. We also have a crime thriller set in Tuscany Italy with a stellar cast set to shoot early next summer.

This is a contract Film Producer / Executive Producer role in a hybrid working model, based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves overseeing projects from development through delivery, including shaping concepts, securing talent, and managing budgets, schedules, and production plans.

The Film Producer / Executive Producer will coordinate pre-production activities, lead production teams on set, and supervise post-production, ensuring creative alignment and timely completion. Responsibilities also include collaborating with financiers, broadcasters, and distributors, preparing pitch materials, and supporting marketing and festival strategies to maximise each project’s reach and impact.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Feature Film Production and Video Production skills, with experience leading projects from development through final delivery.
  • Candidates should possess Pre-production skills, including budgeting, scheduling, casting, and coordinating crews and locations.
  • Proven track record as a Producer or Executive Producer on feature films, documentaries, or high-end TV drama.
  • Strong creative judgment, script development skills, and the ability to support directors and writers collaboratively.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including working with investors, broadcasters, and sales agents.
  • Solid understanding of production finance, contracts, and industry-standard legal and compliance requirements.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to guide diverse teams.
  • Experience with UK and international production environments; knowledge of tax incentives and funding schemes is beneficial.
