About the Role:
This is a dedicated role working on prestigious Times Media brands, including The Times, Sunday Times, Times Radio and TLS. As a Filmmaker, you'll be a pivotal creative and technical member of the MOSAIC team, responsible for shooting, directing, editing and executing compelling video content and motion graphics across social, digital and broadcast platforms.
The role embraces a hybrid approach that integrates full video production, filmmaking and motion graphics, with proactive involvement from production through to final execution and edit. You'll work closely with the Design Director, creatives and copywriters to produce on-brand films, videos and animations for both social media and wider broadcast channels.

You'll bring a critical eye for detail, a strong understanding of visual storytelling and film production principles, and a passion for pushing creative boundaries across video.
Key Responsibilities:
- Filming & Direction: Execute high-quality video shoots, demonstrating expertise in camera operation, lighting, sound recording and on-set direction across diverse content needs for Times Media.
- Video Editing & Post-Production: Skilfully edit raw footage into polished, engaging content, incorporating sound design, music, colour grading and visual effects to deliver impactful final productions.
- Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with creative and copywriters to develop social scripts that complement and enhance the visual storytelling.
- Proactive: Stay ahead of the curve on emerging social and video formats, proactively suggesting and experimenting with new approaches.

- Use WPP Open's tools and technology to streamline your production workflows and improve efficiency.
- Share learnings and best practice contributing to the wider creative output of the agency.
What You'll Need:
- A compelling portfolio/showreel showcasing a diverse range of filmmaking, video production (shooting and editing) and motion graphics work, demonstrating strong visual storytelling and creative execution.
- Expertise in film production principles, visual storytelling, directing, editing and animation.
- A keen eye for cinematography, composition, lighting, typography and colour theory.
- A passion for motion design, social media trends and innovative video formats.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Filmmaker, Video Producer, Director or Hybrid Creative within a creative, content or media agency, with a strong emphasis on end-to-end video production.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (essential) for editing, alongside expertise in Adobe After Effects for motion graphics, with a strong understanding of plugins, expressions and efficient workflow techniques.
- Solid understanding of design principles, typography and layout for both static and motion graphics.
- Familiarity with digital media channels, social platforms and their specific video requirements.
- Experience with 3D software (e.g. Cinema 4D, Blender) is a plus, but not essential.
- Familiarity with agency systems and technologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with the WPP Open ecosystem (or a strong willingness to learn).
- Proficiency in Figma is a plus (or a strong willingness to learn).
