Client Accounting Manager

Remote | UK-Based | Gaming Industry

A fast-growing gaming business is looking to appoint a Client Accounting Manager to play a key role in supporting a portfolio of innovative studios and founders across the UK. This is a unique opportunity to join a specialist finance team that partners with gaming businesses throughout their growth journey, providing a blend of accounting, reporting, commercial finance and strategic support. The role offers significant autonomy, exposure to founder-led businesses, and the chance to help shape and build a growing finance function.

The Opportunity

As Client Accounting Manager, you will act as a trusted finance partner to multiple gaming and entertainment businesses, helping them strengthen financial processes, improve reporting, manage compliance obligations and make informed commercial decisions. This is an excellent role for a qualified accountant who enjoys a blend of hands-on accounting, business partnering and process improvement within high-growth entrepreneurial environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of gaming and digital entertainment clients as their primary finance contact
  • Build strong relationships with founders and leadership teams, supporting day-to-day financial operations
  • Produce monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
  • Deliver meaningful KPI reporting, financial insights and performance analysis
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning
  • Implement and improve finance systems, controls and processes
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with financial modelling and business planning activities
  • Contribute to the development of scalable internal processes and best practice frameworks
  • Work closely with colleagues to deliver a high-quality, joined-up finance service

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong financial accounting and management reporting experience
  • A background in business services client accounting would be highly advantageous
  • Experience supporting multiple stakeholders in fast-paced environments
  • Proven ability to improve processes, systems and controls
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working autonomously
  • Previous experience with cloud-based finance systems such as Xero is advantageous
