Fractional Finance Manager (Accountant)

Location: Remote with occasional in-person meetings (London - UK)
About Medahuman
Medahuman is an entrepreneurial functional wellness brand operating across UK retail, e-commerce, and international markets. We are looking for a hands-on finance professional to oversee the day-to-day financial management of the business, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, effective cash management, and timely compliance across all core finance activities.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Finance Professional (AAT qualified, part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA, or qualified by experience) to oversee Medahuman's day-to-day finance operations on a part-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing the day-to-day finance function, ensuring timely month-end reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring compliance with all statutory finance obligations. The role will work closely with the Managing Director to provide reliable financial information that supports the effective day-to-day management of the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase invoices accurately and on a timely basis.
- Raising customer sales invoices.
- Weekly cash management and maintaining a rolling cash flow forecast.
- Preparing weekly payment runs.
- Maintain and reconcile Xero, ensuring all transactions are correctly categorized.
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- VAT compliance and statutory finance administration.
- Timely monthly management accounts.
- Supporting any additional finance or bookkeeping activities as reasonably required by the Managing Director.
- Provide finance support on fundraising, investor updates, and due diligence.
Experience & Skills Required
- AAT qualified, part-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience (QBE).
- Previous responsibility for managing the day-to-day finance operations of an SME, including month-end reporting, cash management, and financial controls.
- Strong working knowledge of Xero, Dext, Excel, and cloud-based finance systems.
- Experience of purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations, VAT, and management accounts.
- Understanding of FMCG operations, including inventory, cost of goods, retailer trading terms, and supply chain processes.
- Confident preparing and maintaining rolling cash flow forecasts.
- Comfortable working within a growing entrepreneurial business where processes continue to evolve.
- Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
- Proactive, dependable, and capable of working independently whilst building effective relationships across the business.

Time Commitment
- Fractional / part-time role (approx. 15-20 hours per week)
- Flexibility in hours but must meet structured monthly deadlines
Compensation
£1,500 per month (fractional contract)
