Location: Harrogate
Salary: £27,000 – £35,000 per annum
Hours: Monday – Friday, Full-time
Working Pattern: Hybrid working on offer, up to 3-4 days per week from home

We’re working with an established organisation that is looking for a Finance & Accounts Assistant to join their already established team.
This isn’t simply a role where you’ll sit processing invoices all day.
You’ll have your hands in purchase and sales invoicing, reconciliations, expenses, payment processing, financial reporting and general finance administration, while also working with people across the wider business and getting involved in improving the way things are done.
In other words, real finance experience, plenty of variety and the opportunity to become an important part of the wider operation.
Duties As Accounts & Finance Assistant Will Include
- Processing purchase orders and supplier invoices
- Raising and processing sales invoices
- Supporting regular payment runs
- Processing employee expenses
- Reconciling company credit card transactions
- Completing cash book and creditor reconciliations
- Keeping financial records, spreadsheets and information accurate and up to date
- Supporting financial reporting and regular reconciliation exercises
- Maintaining supplier and third party information
- Assisting with internal and external audit activity
- Investigating and resolving finance queries
- Working with colleagues and external contacts across the organisation
- Helping improve finance processes and procedures
- Supporting wider business projects and administrative activity when required

We’re not looking for someone who knows every accounting principle under the sun. We’re looking for someone who has a good grounding in finance, is confident working with numbers and wants to keep developing.

What Matters Most Is That You Have
- Previous experience working within a finance/accounts environment
- A good understanding of basic accounting
- Strong numerical ability and an eye for spotting errors
- Good Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft Office
- Confidence dealing with competing priorities
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach
- The initiative to spot something that could be done better and say something about it
