Are you an experienced finance professional with a background in purchase ledger and credit control? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, organisation and strong relationship-building skills are key?

We're looking for a Finance Accounts Assistant to join our busy Finance Team at our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool, on a 12 month fixed term basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role within a high-volume finance function, supporting the smooth processing of supplier accounts while helping to maintain strong financial controls across the business.

As a Finance Accounts Assistant, you'll be responsible for ensuring invoices are processed accurately and efficiently from receipt through to payment, whilst also managing supplier relationships and supporting credit control activities.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Processing high volumes of invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Coding invoices and allocating costs correctly
  • Sending invoices to the relevant departments for approval
  • Processing approved invoices for the weekly payment run
  • Managing supplier queries and resolving issues promptly
  • Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies
  • Supporting credit control activities, including monitoring outstanding balances and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
  • Building effective working relationships with colleagues across multiple departments

What You'll Bring

  • Previous experience within a finance environment, including purchase ledger and credit control
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • The ability to work at pace while maintaining exceptional accuracy
  • Excellent attention to detail and data entry skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time management and the ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and relationship building
