Finance Admin (Maternity Cover – 1 Year, Potential to be Extended)

Salary: Up to £32,000 DOE

Hours: Mon–Thurs 7:30am–4:30pm, Fri 7:30am–3:30pm

Contract: Term Time Only + 2 Weeks (40 Weeks Per Year)

Location: Fully Onsite (No Hybrid / No WFH)

Are you looking for a role where you will genuinely make a difference? Mason & Dale are partnering with a dynamic and growing organisation within the education sector. We are seeking a Finance Admin to support the finance team and join a high‑functioning, fast‑paced office where the team gives 110% and supports one another every day.

This is initially a 12‑month maternity cover, however the role could be extended. This is a brilliant opportunity to secure a permanent role within a growing team.

About the Role

You will join a busy finance function where being organised, personable and detail‑driven is essential. This role suits someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys variety, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.

You will receive full training on SAGE and work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Administration Duties

  • Placing orders and raising purchase orders
  • Processing invoices
  • Managing supplier, debtor and budget‑holder queries
  • Credit card reconciliation
  • Filing, archiving, photocopying and maintaining financial records
  • Asset tracking
  • Providing administrative support to the Finance Manager

General Administration

  • Responding to routine correspondence via phone and email
  • Handling pupil, parent and staff queries
  • Photocopies and wider administrative support across the organisation

About You

  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • Personable, proactive and confident communicating with stakeholders
  • Strong spelling, grammar and written communication
  • Logical thinker with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Keen interest in finance and developing within a finance team
  • Happy to work fully onsite in a fast‑paced environment

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 1–2 years’ administrative experience
  • Strong communication and time‑management skills
